Supernova novelist, Dewi Lestari, who is nicknamed Dee, launched a book of stories and prose in a decade his work entitled The Philosophy Coffee. Launching performed at The Piano Bistro, Jl Wijaya I, on Wednesday (15 / 3). A total of 18 stories, there are short stories, prose, and long story, written in the span of years 1995-2005. It is more suited referred to as a collection of prose, because most of them are short poetic prose that is full of philosophy a la Dee. Some of the stories contained within it is also too long to be called short stories. Published at the right time to treat the writing Dee nostalgia lovers. It also implied when I saw the cover of this book. Writing the book title printed neatly on the brown cover with decorative motifs curved lines and straight lines that artistic. Classy. The title feels classy. "Philosophy", ah .. said that heavy. In the word thought of a long series of convoluted sentences only to translate a word. But when juxtaposed with the word "coffee", so it feels lighter. Because coffee is identical to the daily. The picture obtained became more clear, mild but classy. There are several short stories and a number of prose pieces in this book that shows the quality of Dee in writing. Dee was not a writer who just wrote, but he's also the type of writer who had previously experienced something before he wrote it. So every article are felt authentic and not making it up. Wise words throughout the story also could be spelled words of wisdom, fresh, and looks correct that it is the result of deep contemplation Dee. Coffee Philosophy tells the story of Ben and Jody who opened the cafe in the main menu of different kinds of cocktail drinks coffee from around the world. Ben is obsessed with coffee, so willing to deplete his savings to travel the world looking for a variety of coffee ingredients straight from the source. Ben's obsession turned to search the most perfect blend of coffee drinks trying to reach perfection through the coffee-coffee diramunya. Ben is not just a gathering, tasting flavor, but also reflect that he made coffee. Ben pulled the meaning, making an analogy to created a philosophy for each type of coffee concoction. Obsessed with a desire to make the perfect coffee, barista Ben who got this nickname, underwent a challenge to find the most delicious coffee, which was created by a seller of coffee and fried, in a remote area in Central Java. Ben woke from his dream to make the most delicious coffee, strong coffee served when Mr. Seno, that does not exist pergelasnya price, it turns out more delicious than homemade, the barista renowned throughout Jakarta. In addition to the intriguing title, also can reflect the whole story in it about life that will inevitably colored by bitterness as coffee. Also provide suggestions to the reader to enjoy it with ease while drinking coffee. In a collection of short stories Coffee Philosophy essay titled Dee De Coro Rico have a love story. Fable about cockroaches falling on the human heart that tells of a woman who longed for a roach idol of the heart that is a lovely man named Sarah, daughter of the owner of the house that became the roach nest. As in this short story that eventually die due to insect mutant Rico, was a sacrificial love, even sacrificing their lives. Looking for Herman, stories about the search for a man named Herman. A memorable story rather funny light-persiflage. Letters that Never Up, about surat2 love that never arrived. Most impressive for me is when Dee gave the meaning of Space, made in 1998, Dee wrote about the importance of distance in a relationship. Whereas a linear relationship can walk side by side, if she still given room to grow on its own. Here she writes:
Anything as beautiful engraved letters, could it mean if there is no pause? Can he be understood if there is no space? Did not we just move if there is distance? And loving each other if there is space? Love will carry two people getting close, but he did not want to strangle, so ulurlah rope. Breath will melega with a pair of lungs that can not be divided. Blood flowed freely to the heart that does not use twice. Life is not split, but met with other people in line. So, do I disable it in the name of love. Let's travel to the meeting but not bandaged. Necessity is no room to move in a relationship, and also the views of the Bridge of Dee Age, about the changes a human being in every period of age where he would not be able to understand another period of age. Although in the short poetic prose Desert Snow, Dee gives ideas and views of snow in the desert to raise the courage "to be different". Yet in the end, Dee could not refuse to leave most of his writing as writing about Love, as sand-sand in the desert. Philosophies Dee feels very deep in his poetic prose, short prose. So impressed Dee is a daydreamer who think every detail of her life to find the philosophy and meaning of life as a whole. Perhaps it is not too wrong impression, because in the stories that cheerful and light was still stuck one or two sentences containing the philosophy of metaphor that can direnungi. Dee play a lot of meaning back in business, and not a lot of experimenting with presenting the plot or how to speak different. His efforts are often successful in forming a new perception of one event or one part of life that makes the reader participate mirror into it. Sometimes the imagination is very light skipping like "Thunder", although sometimes in the full meaning bitter like "Roots". Although the book is nothing as'ilmiah '"Knight, Princess and Falling Star." It all shows again that Dee was able to mix text in a variety of flavor, though limited in the narrow halls of a short story or short poetic prose. Dewi Lestari, which often comes with the pen name Dee, best-selling author, known through the serial novel Supernova, now presents a collection of his work in the next ten years. The language is simple but touching, charming all at once shocking at the right point. Perhaps, this is also one of the advantages Dee as a writer. He was concerned about spelling and grammar comply. He was right to write 'breath' with 'p', he was never one to distinguish between 'in' the prefix and which also 'in' the preposition, and not impressed 'ass' when entering the English language in conversation. Philosophy Coffee is the soul of another child of the Dee, was born in a language that can be understood together. Dee let Philosophy Coffee talk, freed from the binary language format. Dee invites us along the forms of love. Love transformed. Whether it is love between human, in love with the coffee, or his love for cockroaches, the stories in this collection depict the process of transformation from just a collection of emotional love towards an existence. As one of the short story entitled Philosophy Coffee; Dee able to describe the atmosphere that feels soft (like a capuccino) with the utterance of words which he wrote. Thus any advice-advice that tucked into the short story that is more easily digested by readers because it contains no arrogance. Physically, that is not too thick book presents a compelling front cover. Writing Philosophy Coffee, more prominent than other writings. Black, white and slightly golden, giving the impression of luxury in the book. The stories are presented increasingly showing maturity in writing. As the title, Philosophy Coffee, Dee managed to provide the reader with philosophical. Dee dish covered with a unique story, the story of Rico de Coro prince who has been reviewed a little over.
